ALKAR
conducts a Maintenance and Operator Training Seminar at our
Lodi, Wisconsin facility.
If you are an ALKAR customer you may send qualified
personnel to our plant for this two-day seminar. Hours are
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will be required to furnish their
travel, and living expenses, ALKAR furnishes the instructor
and materials, also the training facilities.
Classes will be held on a Wednesday and Thursday. Also to
assure a prompt 8:00 start Wednesday morning, we suggest
that all attending personnel arrive in Madison/Lodi Tuesday
evening.
Each training session lasts two days and at the completion
of the course a manual will be issued containing details of
the topics covered during the session.
These are some highlights we will cover in our 2-day
training session.
- Calibration of control systems.
- Trouble shooting; pneumatic and electrical system.
- Start-up, adjusting and trouble shooting of a gas
burner.
- Procedure to balance and calibrate air handling of
processing ovens (trouble shooting hot and cold spots).
- General operational theory and how the individual
parts of equipment affect the whole cooking process.
- Trouble shooting of recording charts for dry and wet
bulb error.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Cleaning procedures.
- Smoking of meat products, cook process guidelines.
Hopefully your personnel attending will have some
questions for us to answer.
Approximately 14 attendees maximum per seminar. (A minimum
of 8 attendees is required for the seminar to be held.)

Interstate 90/94 approximately 4 miles from ALKAR and the
Bridge Motel is 5 miles north of Lodi on Lake Wisconsin. The
Holiday Inn Express by DeForest is approximately 10 miles
from ALKAR.
Travel: It is approximately 50 minutes round trip
from the airport in Madison and the office in Lodi. Car
rental is available at the airport.
